Well, I am back to blogging, I think anyway. Yesterday, the kid's didn't have school because a retired teacher from the public school died and her funeral was yesterday and their was too many teachers who wanted to go and pay their respects.
C and J wanted friends over and I had decided yesterday would be a good day for making cookies-so we made 4 batches of cut cookies and decorated them. 2 batches of sugar cookies and 2 batches of gingerbread cookies. My back is really hurting today. J wanted to take a bunch for her class and teachers and bus driver so I said she could take 15-well, when I got home today one who container was gone. I asked her how many she took, "well I took 15 bags with 2 in it." Oh, 30 cookies, great their goes cookies I was planning on taking places. I guess they were a great hit and the teacher wants the recipe for the sugar cookies. If you are interested here it is.

Cream sugar, shortening and vanilla. Add eggs and milk. Sift flour and measure 4 cups out. Wisk flour, B. powder and salt-add to mixure.
Chill 20 minutes, roll out 1/8 inch. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
This is a recipe I got from Lisa Bessmer when she used to live around here.
